The UWRF men's soccer team continues its early-season slate on Saturday, Sept. 5, traveling to Minneapolis, Minn., to face North Central University. Kickoff between the Falcons and Rams is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
UWRF enters the weekend with a 0-0-1 record following a 2-2 draw against the Edgewood Eagles in its season opener on Tuesday at Ramer Soccer Stadium.
The Falcons held the advantage for nearly the entirety of the match against Edgewood, led by a pair of goals from
Carter Eklund. The junior midfielder opened the scoring in the 26th minute off an assist from
Ben Harris before adding his second goal in the 54th minute to give UWRF a 2-0 advantage. Edgewood answered shortly after and eventually found the equalizer in the 89th minute.Â

FALCON NOTES
- Carter Eklund enters Saturday with a team-leading two goals after recording the first multi-goal performance of the season against Edgewood. Eklund scored on both of his shots on goal after totaling three assists across 17 appearances last season.Â
- Ben Harris assisted Eklund's opening goal against Edgewood. Harris appeared in all 17 matches last season and scored one goal.Â
- Sorel Richardson led the Falcons with five goals last season while totaling 41 shots, including 16 on goal. His 10 points tied for the team lead. Richardson played the full 90 minutes in Tuesday's season opener.Â
- Freshman goalie, Greyson Shiek played all 90 minutes in goal against Edgewood and finished with six saves. Five of his saves came during the second half as the Falcons played the final 24-plus minutes down a player.Â
- UWRF generated nine shots against Edgewood, placing five on goal. Hunter Berry led the Falcons with three shots and put two on target, while Eklund scored on each of his two attempts.Â
Saturday's matchup marks the Falcons' first road contest of the 2026 season.
