WAVERLY, Iowa – The UW-River Falls women's tennis team began its 2026 home schedule on Saturday, hosting Wartburg College and UW-Superior, falling by scores of 4-3 in both matches.
During the Falcons' first of two matches on the day, UWRF earned three singles victories, led by
Brooke Lindeman,
Sydney Wiener and
Mykela Hanson. Lindeman defeated Morgan Kathman 7-6, 6-2 at No. 1, while Wiener topped Brooke Bloom 6-3, 6-3 at No. 2. Hanson added a 6-2, 6-4 victory over Lily Schreckengast at No. 3.
Lindeman and Wiener also teamed up for a 7-6, 8-6 victory at No. 1 doubles. Wartburg claimed the other two doubles matches and earned wins at Nos. 4-6 singles to secure the team victory.

During UWRF's second match of the day, the Falcons picked up three singles victories, with Emma Yanish, Melina Lee and Jaimey Jessen-Olson earning wins. Yanish defeated Lillian Kimber 6-4, 6-3 at No. 4, while Lee topped Avery Albrecht 6-1, 1-6, 10-4 at No. 5. Jessen-Olson added a 6-3, 6-3 victory over Emma Laplante at No. 6.
UW-Superior claimed all three doubles matches and earned singles wins at Nos. 1-3 to secure the team victory.
