In his first year joining University of Wisconsin River Falls Coach Ferguson brings an abundance of knowledge and experience to the Falcon program. Ferguson, a former Hornet at Alabama State University, serves as an assistant coach for throws and hurdles while assisting with combined-events training.
Most recently, Ferguson returned to his hometown working as an assistant coach at Viera High School. Within two years, Ferguson persisted in leading his team to two District 9 Championship titles, producing 20 regional qualifiers and 6 state qualifiers. The highest in school history.
Prior to joining the Falcon coaching staff in 2017, Ferguson mentored 2 consecutive cross country championship teams, 40 SWAC champions and 1 East Region qualifier as an assistant coach at Mississippi Valley State University.
As a student-athlete at ASU from 2007-2010 Ferguson won 2 SWAC titles in long jump and runner up I the short hurdles. The Rockledge, Florida native become nationally ranked in the 60 meter hurdles indoor and in the long jump outdoor concluding his season with the longest jump in school history.
Post-graduation Ferguson served 1 year at his alma mater aiding the coaching staff to a triple crown title (2011) indoor, outdoor and cross country.Â
