Sami Miller is a native of Spring Lake Park, Minn., where she played for Spring Lake Park High School. In high school she was two-times All Conference, team captain, and team MVP. As a senior, she was All State Honorable Mention, and runner up for Ms. Hockey Goalie of the Year. She was also on the National Honor Society. She had a save percentage of .930, and a goals against average of 2.42, and four shutouts her senior year. She is the daughter of Becky and Gerry Miller, and she has one brother and one sister. She is majoring in Elementary Education with a minor in Spanish.
