Jon Koenigs was named the UWRF women's tennis head coach in the summer of 2024. In his first season at the helm in 2024-25, he led the Falcons to the program's most wins since the 2009-10 season, compiling a 7-13 overall record.
A tennis teaching professional with over 20 years of experience, Koenigs is a Certified PTR Professional 1 & USPTA High Performance Coach. He is currently the Head Tennis Professional at PublicIndoorTennis.com, organizing, implementing, and directing all adult and junior tennis programs consisting of 200 weekly players. Jon has also been a coach with Team USA working with the top juniors from the USTA Northern Section and is an owner of Lightning Tennis Camps, traveling throughout rural Minnesota building and developing relationships with high school tennis coaches and administrators.
Graduating from Gustavus Adolphus College in 1997, Koenigs was an All-Conference men's tennis player for the Gusties.
