Grant Erickson returns to UW-River Falls men's basketball program as an assistant coach after spending the 2025-26 season at Carleton College.
Prior to Carleton, Erickson spent eight seasons coaching at his alma mater, Lakeville North High School, serving as the sophomore head coach and varsity offensive coordinator during his final three seasons. The Panthers compiled a 173-56 record during his tenure, making three state tournament appearances, five section championship games, and winning three conference championships.
Erickson has also been a coach and trainer with Wear Out the Net Basketball Academy in Lakeville since 2013, where he currently serves as the program's manager and AAU coordinator.
A four-year starting point guard for the Falcons from 2013-17, Erickson started 93 of 98 career games while averaging 7.6 points, 3.8 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game with a 3.3-to-1 assist-to-turnover ratio. During his senior season, UW-River Falls finished 25-4, captured both the WIAC regular season and tournament championships, and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Division III Men's Basketball Tournament.
Erickson is a graduate of UW-River Falls and returns to his alma mater following successful coaching stops at both the high school and collegiate levels.
