Desso joined the UWRF Football coaching staff in the spring of 2026 as an offensive assistant.

He previously spent the 2025 season as wide receivers coach at Grand View University, where he helped lead the Vikings to a 14-0 record and an NAIA national championship. A graduate of Macalester College, Desso was a two-time MIAC First Team All-Conference wide receiver (2021, 2022) and set multiple school records for receptions.
