The Falcon men's basketball team gets its second blowout win in as many games. This time they dismantled the Simpson College (IA) Storm, 90-69.
Simpson lead for most of the first three minutes, but once the Falcons sezied control it was all but over.
To open the game Simpson's Zach Barragan hit a three, but it was immediately answered by
Aaron Anderson (Stillwater, MN, Stillwater HS).
After a second Barragan three,
Shane Manor (Altoona, UW-Superior) scored on back-to-back possesion to give the Falcons the lead for good.
Manor had 18 first half points to pace the Falcons. Anderson added four three-pointers.
Coach
Jeff Berkhof was once again able to empty his bench earlier and every Falcon made an appearance in the contest.
Brady Hannigan (Oakdale, MN, North St. Paul HS) saw his first action of the season after missing the first month of practice while playing football. Hannigan had 11 points in his debut.
Manor ended his great night with 25 points and seven boards. Anderson added a fifth three-pointer to finish with 15 on 5-8 (.635) shooting from behind the arc.
Barragan lead the Storm with 15.
The Falcons improve to 2-0 on the season and will be back in action tomorrow night in the Northwestern Tip-Off Tournament at 7pm. They will play the winner of North Central and Northwestern College.
