The Falcon volleyball team moved to 3-0 in the WIAC with a 3-0 win over UW-Superior Wednesday at the Karges Center.  Game scores were 25-23, 25-18, and 25-20.

Erin Green (Fridley, MN, Fridley) led the Falcons with 13 kills throughout the match.  She was 14-22 for a .455 kill percentage. Green also led the Falcons with three of the team's six blocks.

Brianna Muetzel (Oakdale, MN, Cretin-Derham Hall) also had a strong game for the Falcons as she fired off 12 kills in the winning effort.

Mackenzie Suda (Ham Lake, MN, Blaine) was there to set up the Falcon hitters with 41 assists.  She had an assist on 41 of the Falcons' 44 kills.  As a team, the Falcons out-hit the Yellowjackets 44-35.

Courtney Preiner (Oakdale, MN, Hill-Murray) continued to close in on the UWRF all-time digs record.  She had 16 digs and is now 29 digs away from the all-time record.

With the win, the Falcons improve to 15-5 overall and 3-0 in the WIAC. UWS meanwhile falls to 14-8 overall and 0-3 in the WIAC. They are also 6-1 at home and 48-22 all-time against Superior.

Up next for the Falcons is an away match at UW-Stevens Point. The match begins at 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 5 in Stevens Point.  The Falcons are 31-21 all-time against the Pointers.
