UWRF scored the first goal of the game at 6:34 of the first period when
Alec Hagaman continued his hot streak connecting with
Jeff Burke. The goal was Burke's second of the season.
SJU was able to tie the game at 19:07 of the first period. The goal was scored by Tobias Linbro.
This was the only goal of the game for SJU despite overpowering UWRF in total shots. SJU had 41 total shots on goal while UWRF only had 15 total shots on goal.
Hagaman scored his fifth goal of the season at 5:58 of the second period. Burke and
Jake Calleja were credited with the assists.
Adam Cardwell gave the Falcons a two goal lead at 12:19 of the second period.
Caleb Wolfgram recorded his second assist of the season on the play.
No goals were scored in the third period despite SJU having a five on three power play opportunity. The Falcons special teams played excellent only allowing one total shot with the two men disadvantage. Overall in the game UWRF never allowed a power play goal despite SJU having five opportunities.
The win will move UWRF to 8-5-2 overall on the season. SJU will drop to 6-6-1 overall on the season.
UWRF will continue play next weekend against UW-Stout with the puck set to drop at 7:30 p.m. both nights.
