Soccer Tops Buena Vista in 5-2 Victory

Swatloski Scores Two Goals, Kouba Two Assists

The UW-River Falls soccer team won in dominating form this evening at Buena Vista University with a 5-2 victory.

The Falcons scored three goals in the first half of the game. The first was scored by Alex Swatloski at 10:52 off of the assist by Anna Kouba.

Nina Abrahamson would strike next for UWRF. Erika Doimer and Kouba were credited with assists on the goal. Kouba now has 12 points on the season which is second most on the team.

The final first half goal was scored again by Swatloski with the assist from Kaitlyn Logan. Swatloski has a team high seven goals this season.

UWRF had 10 shots in the first half compared to just one for BVU.

BVU would strike first in the second half with a goal by Samantha Richards. Kenzie Weisman answered back for UWRF with a goal just over twelve minutes later for her first collegiate goal.

Not long after Wesiman added her first collegiate assist when she found Alyssa Manor for the Falcons fifth goal. Manor had a game high five shots and now has 32 on the season which is second most on the team.

UWRF finished with 17 shots and eight corner kicks on the game compared to five and five by BVU.

The Falcons now move to 5-7-1 overall on the season. UWRF will play next this Saturday when they host UW-Stevens Point for their annual Endometrial Cancer Awareness Game. The game is set to start at 2 p.m.
