The Falcon women's hockey team lost a 3-2 decision to UW-Stevens Point on Saturday afternoon at Hunt Arena leaving both teams with two points from the weekend series.

UWRF won Friday's game by the same score. 

The only goal in the first period came with just 16 seconds to play. UWSP was on a power-play and capitalized on the advantage. Megan Menotti scored the goal. 

UWSP went ahead, 2-0, in the second period - the Pointers had a 2-0 lead in Friday's game also. Hannah Smith scored at 4:59 to put her team ahead. 

But the Falcons quickly responded with two Chloe Kinsel goals to tie the game, 2-2. Kinsel scored the first at 5:34 and the second at 7:29 to tie the game, 2-2. Dani Buehrer assisted on the firist goal and Alice Cranston and Dani Kocina assisted on the second. 

The eventual game-winner came at 18:01 when Meredith Ingbretson scored. 

UWRF goalie Angie Hall made 21 saves while UWSP's Janna Beikle-Skoug stopped 26 shots. The Falcons had a 28-24 advantage in shots in the game. 

UWRF, now 3-2 overall and 1-1 in WIAC play, will next host UW-Eau Claire on Friday at 2:05 p.m., at Hunt Arena.
