Falcons junior forward
Chloe Kinsel tied a school record with five points in Tuesday's 9-2 road victory over the College of Saint Benedict Blazers.
Kinsel finished the evening with three goals and two assists, all of which came in the first two periods. She completed the hat-trick with eight minutes left in the second period. Kinsel earned a point on each of the first five Falcon goals.
Kinsel scored the game's first goal only 14 seconds into the first period. Kinsel's team-leading eighth goal of the season was assisted by senior captain defenseman
Sam Greeley, her fourth of the season, and junior defenseman
Dani Buehrer, her third of the season.
Falcons senior captain forward
Alice Cranston buried her fifth goal of the season at 6:39 of the first period to double the early lead with an assist to freshman forward

Angie Hall (5-2) did not make her first stop of the game until the eight minute mark of the first period.
Kinsel pushed the Falcon lead to 3-0 at 16:30 of the first period with her ninth goal of the season; the goal was unassisted. Shots after the first period were 15-6 in favor of UWRF. Both teams went 0-1 on the power play in the period.
Cranston scored her second goal of the game at 9:01 of the second period to put UWRF ahead 4-0; the goal was assisted by Kinsel, her 12th, and senior defenseman
Kendal Evenson. The Blazers answered for the first time 87 seconds later with an Elli Marvin goal which was assisted by Stephanie Kirk and Kacee Medved.
Kinsel bumped the score to 5-1 two minutes later with her third of the evening and 10th of the season; the goal was assisted by Kocina. UWRF outshot the Blazers 13-7 in the second period. Neither team earned a power play opportunity in the period.
Falcons sophomore forward
Emily Stark scored a shorthanded goal exactly seven minutes into the third period with an assist to sophomore forward
Brianna Breiland. The goal was Stark's second and the assist was Breiland's third. The Blazers answered 24 seconds later with a power play goal scored by Kimberly Patterson with assists to Brigette Miller and Megan Brettingen.
Falcons sophomore forward
Dani Sibley upped the lead to 7-2 on the power play at 16:17 of the third period with her third goal of the season. The goal was assisted by freshman forward
Carly Moran, her fourth, and Evenson, her sixth. Greeley answered 44 seconds later with an unassisted goal, her first of the season.
Sophomore defenseman
Paige Johnson scored UWRF's ninth goal of the game with 1:16 left in the contest. The power play goal was her fifth of the season and was assisted by Kocina and Cranston. UWRF outshot the Blazers 21-3 in the third period and 49-16 overall. UWRF went 2-4 on the power play, while the Blazers finished 1-2. Hall made 14 saves in the win and Traut finished with 23 saves in the loss. Blazers junior goaltender Dory Johnson (0-0) made 17 saves in relief of Traut.
"We had a good team effort tonight, and took no time scoring 14 seconds into the game and finishing the game strong," said Falcons Head Coach Joe Cranston. "We played all 60 minutes; special teams played well with two power play goals and one shorty. Chloe and Alice were unstoppable tonight."UWRF improves to 7-2 overall, 2-1 on the road, and now has a four-game winning streak. The Blazers fall to 3-5 overall, 1-1 at home, and have lost three straight. UWRF is now 6-2 all-time against the Blazers.
The Falcons host the UW-Superior Yellowjackets at 7:05 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 5. UWRF is 25-23-3 all-time against Superior.
