The UW-River Falls Falcons shot lights in a big WIAC win topping the UW-Stout Blue Devils 88-78 last night.

The Blue Devils only lead of the game came just over a minute in when a three pointer put them up 3-2 over the Falcons. Some instance offense quickly put UWRF up 9-3 and they would never look back.
Jack Herum scored three buckets in a row early in the first half to give UWRF a 13-6 lead with 14:52 to go in the first half.
When ever the Blue Devils would show signs of getting close the Falcons would answer all night. Late in the first half
Joe Deppe would hit to big three pointers to keep momentum in the favor of UWRF. The final basket of the half came with 30 seconds to go when a Stout three point pulled them within seven trailing 43-36 to UWRF. Christensen and Deppe each knocked in eight first half points while Herum had six.
Christensen wasted no time in keeping things rolling when he came out and hit the first basket of the second half from downtown and scored the first seven UWRF second half points. The biggest lead of the game was 18 points and came with 12:44 left to go when the Falcons went up 60-42 after a
Garret Pearson layup.
