Box Score Dani Sibley scored twice to help lead the Falcon women's hockey team to a big 3-2 WIAC win at UW-Stevens Point on Friday night.
Sibley scored twice in the second period to help the Falcons to the win against the nation's No. 9 ranked team. The teams have played three times this year and all three games have ended with 3-2 scores. The Falcons have won two of those contests.
The first period ended in a 1-1 tie. UWRF took a 1-0 with a goal just 31 seconds into the contest.

Brianna Breiland and
Alice Cranston. UWSP tied the game at 13:59 when Rachel Reynard scored an unassisted goal. The Falcons had an 11-7 advantage in shots on goal in the first 20 minutes of play.
The Falcons, ranked No. 7 in the nation, dominated the second period and thanks to the Sibley goals and held a 3-1 lead. Sibley scored a power-play goal at 10:09 with Cranston and
Carly Moran both assisting. About six minutes later she scored again, her seventh of the year, with
Karleigh Wolkerstorfer assisting. The Falcons enjoyed a 12-8 advantage in shots during the period.
UWSP netted the only goal of the third period Megan Menotti scored at 7:30 to cut the Falcon lead to 3-2. But the Falcons clamped down and didn't allow any more scoring. The Falcons once again had an advantage in shots in the period, 14-8. UWRF finished with a 37-23 advantage in shots on goal for the game.

Angie Hall stopped 21 shots to record the win. She is now 11-3 this year. UWSP's Janna Beike-Skoug stopped 34 Falcon shots.
With the win the Falcons opened up an four point lead over UW-Superior in the race for the regular season WIAC championship. The Falcons have 12 points and UWS has eight. UWSP is in third place witih seven points.
The Falcons, now 14-3 overall and 6-1 in the WIAC, will play a second game at UWSP on Saturday with action starting at 2:30 p.m.
