Box Score Chloe Kinsel scored the hat trick to help lead the Falcon women's hockey team to a 6-3 win at St. Thomas on Wednesday night.

Alice Cranston both hit the career 100 point mark in the game. Kinsel finished with four points and Cranston had a goal and two assists for a three-point night. Kinsel has 102 career points with 51 goals and 51 assists. Cranston has 100 career points with 48 goals and 52 assists. "Having both Chloe and Alice reach 100 points is special," said Falcon Coach
Joe Cranston. "They are the third and four Falcons to reach that milestone."
UWRF led 4-0 after one period and 5-0 after two. "We played great in the first two periods, but then let up in the third," said Cranston. "We did get three very good periods of play from goalie
Angie Hall."
Kinsel started the scoring at 3:23 of the first period with assists to Cranston and
Brianna Breiland. About two minutes later Breiland scored an unassisted goal to put UWRF ahead 2-0. It was her fourth goal of the year.
Dani Sibley added a goal, her eighth of the season, at 15:10 with
Carina Randazzo assisting. Kinsel finished the first period scoring withi an unassisted goal at 16:33.Â
Kinsel completed the hat trick at 5:36 of the second period. She scored a power-play goal with her linemates, Breiland and Cranston, assisting again. It was her 17th goal of the season. After UST scored a short-handed goal at 12:08, the Falcons scored a power-play goal 51 seconds later. Cranston scored her 13th goal of the year with Kinsel assisting.
Hall picked up the win in goal and is now 12-3-1. She made 25 saves. Two UST goalies combined for 21 saves.
UWRF swept the two-game series with the Tommies this year. In the first game of the season at Hunt Arena on Nov. 1 the Falcons took a 6-4 win. The series between the two teams is now tied. 11-11.
The Falcons, now 15-3-1 overall and 6-1-1 in the WIAC, will next play at UW-Superior in a conference game that starts at 7 p.m., on Saturday.
