Box Score EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (uwrfsports.com) – The sixth ranked UW-River Falls women's hockey team won today against UW Eau Claire 4-1.
The Falcon women (4-2-0) had a nice win this evening against the UW-Eau Claire Blugolds (3-2-2). The game started off quiet but the Falcons scored early on with
Amy Auran hitting a nice shot into the net at 10:34 with an assist from
Dani Sibley. Sibley quickly came back with another goal, a shorthanded goal after
Izzy Brosseau got a two minute minor penalty for interference, on the net at 19:33 with an assist from
Chloe Kinsel.
The second period was quiet with no goals from either team. Starting off the third period with a bang the Blugolds scored within the first minute. That did not stop the Falcon offense; at 16:49
Carly Moran hit a nice goal with a smooth assist from
Karleigh Wolkerstorfer. Not even a minute later
Chloe Kinsel made her own goal from the kill zone at 17:44 with a quick assist from
Jessie Andersen.
The Falcons had 23 total shots. Goaltender
Angie Hall got the win for the Falcons and improved to 4-2 on the season. She had 22 saves on the afternoon and gave up only one goal.
The Falcons return to action at home Saturday afternoon to face the Blugolds of UW-Eau Claire. Puck drops at 2:05 p.m. at Hunt Arena.
