Box Score RIVER FALLS, Wis. (uwrfsports.com) – The sixth ranked UW-River Falls women's hockey team came up big again offensively at home as they defeated Bethel University 5-1 at Hunt Arena.
The Falcons (2-1) started their scoring run right out of the gate in the first period at 1:14 when
Lydia Wagner found the back of the net on a pass from
Carly Moran and
Karleigh Wolkerstorfer. This started the Falcons out hot and they kept the momentum going through the game.
Victoria Holman made a quick shot into the goal assisted by
Taylor Ramthun.
Chloe Kinsel followed that up with a short-handed goal at 15:50. Assisting on the goal was
Dani Sibley. Kinsel's goal pulled the Falcons ahead 3-0 in the first period.
The game stayed quiet until the third period at 8:46 when Bethel would score their only goal of the afternoon. The Falcons quickly replied back less than a minute later at 9:44 with a nice goal by
Karleigh Wolkerstorfer, assisted by
Haley Nielsen.
Chloe Kinsel got the fifth and final goal at 11:26 on a pass by
Ashley Effertz and
Dani Sibley.

Dani Buehrer,
Taylor Ramthun and K. Wolkerstorfer ended the evening each with one minor penalty – landing them a two minute penalty. Clearly not affecting the Falcons movement.
The Falcons had a total of 31 shots on the day. Goalie,
Angie Hall got the winning goal for the Falcons. She gave up one goal and had 14 saves.
