Box Score Superior, WI (uwrfsports.com) – The #8 UW-River Falls Women's Hockey team took to the road Friday night and captured a 5-2 victory over UW-Superior behind senior
Chloe Kinsel's hat trick.

Kinsel opened up the evening with a bang, knocking home her first goal just 3:58 into the contest. Izzy Brousseau and
Dani Sibley assisted on the shot that made its way past Yellowjacket goaltender Natasha Singer.

The Falcons headed into the second period carrying a 1-0 lead when Kinsel picked up her second goal of the game just under three minutes into the second stanza.
Haley Nielsen and
Jillayne Gilbert got in on the action, assisting Kinsel on the goal and putting the Falcons ahead 2-0. UW-Superior answered back just over three minutes later when Abby Constant-Bercie slipped the puck past Falcon goaltender
Angie Hall, bringing the Yellowjackets within 1 and making the score 2-1 Falcons.

Kinsel tallied her fourth career hat trick at the 11:54 mark of the second period when she found the net for her third goal of the evening. Sibley added her second point of the contest with the assist on the goal as the Falcons pulled ahead, 3-1. Kinsel leads the Falcons this season with 12 goals and 15 points.

Superior replied once again when Mikayla Goodin scored with 40 seconds left in the second period. The Yellowjackets managed to pull within 1, 3-2, as the teams headed into the third and final period.

Sibley tallied another point in the third period, this time a goal, when she scored at the 9:38 mark.
Amy Auran tallied the assist as the Falcons went ahead 4-2. Not even two minutes later, UWRF junior
Karleigh Wolkerstorfer added an insurance goal, putting the visiting Falcons up 5-2. The Yellowjackets were unable to come back from the deficit as UWRF moved to 7-2-0 on the season and 4-1 in conference play.

Superior outshot the Falcons, 28-20, on the night, despite the loss, while the Falcons picked up 28 of 52 faceoffs. Hall stopped 26 shots in goal for the Falcons.

UWRF returns home to square off against the Yellowjackets for the second straight day on Saturday, December 5
th. Puck drop is set for 2:05 p.m. at Hunt Arena in River Falls.
