RIVER FALLS, Wis. (uwrfsports.com) The UW- River Falls men's basketball team fell in a tough battle against Carleton College at Karges Center 75-61 in a night the Knights shot 30-55 (54.5 percent) from the floor and scored 48 points in the paint.

Senior forward Jon Christensen led the Falcons in scoring on the night with 21 points and eight rebounds for his fourth straight 20 point game.

The first half was controlled by the Falcons, CJ Lewis opened up the scoring with a three pointer to begin the game, but Carleton settled down and used a 7-0 run and lead by four points with 13:21 to go in the first half.

Responding to the run, the Falcons went on a small 7-2 run to take the lead back from the Knights with the score 16-13. The Falcons did not relinquish the lead the rest of the first half and ended the first half with a 33-28 lead with Christensen with 13 points and junior forward Garret Pearson with 13 points as well. The Falcons sunk four three point buckets in the first half on nine attempts.

In the second half the Knights used a 13-4 run to take back the lead and did not allow the Falcons to take back the lead for the rest of the game. Kevin Grow of Carleton College scored 18 of his 26 points in the second half.

UW- River Falls was paced by Christensen with 21 points and eight rebounds. Pearson finished with his first double double of the season with 17 points and 10 rebounds. CJ Lewis scored 16 points on 6-13 shooting with two three point buckets.

The Falcons shot 24-64 (37.5 percent) from the floor and 8-19 (42.1 percent) from the three point line.

Next up for UW- River Falls is the #6 St. Thomas Tommies on Saturday December 12 at Karges with the tip off set for 5 p.m. The last meeting between these two teams was in 2014 with the Falcons falling in a 70-69 game at St. Thomas.
