Angie Hall recorded her second straight shutout, to help the Falcon women's hockey team to a 5-0 win over St. Catherine University on Wednesday night at Hunt Arena.
In the opening period UWRF had an early power play and put one shot on goal, but couldn't score on the player advantage. St. Kate's best chance came with about 9:30 to play when Bailey Rasmussen came in on a breakaway against Hall. But Hall forced Rasmussen to shoot the puck wide to keep the game scoreless. Hall stopped two more Wildcat shots off a scramble in front of the Falcon goal with about 3:30 to play. SCU goalie Kristen Pechacek picked up a tripping penalty with about three minutes to play. UWRF's best chance came when Sibley's wrist shot was stopped from about 12 feet in front of Pechacek. The Falcons had an 8-6 advantage in shots in the first 20 minutes.

UWRF, which has now won five games in a row, was a player short to start the second period but it was the Falcons who took advantage of the situation.
Alice Cranston picked off a pass in the neutral zone and broke in with Kinsel on her left on a two-on-one. Cranston slowed the play down and hit a wide open Kinsel who buried the one-timer. The goal came just 16 seconds into the period. Johnson also assisted on the play. RF made it 2-0 at 14:56 of the period when Sibley scored from right in front off a scramble. It was her 12th goal of the year and Johnson picked up her second assist of the game on the goal. The Falcons, who are unbeaten in the last 11 games, took a penalty with about five minutes to play in the period but SCU did not have a shot on goal during the player advantage. The Falcons had a 12-7 advantage in shots on goal for the period - one which they controlled the play for most of the 20 minutes of action.
Brianna Breiland led the Falcons with three shots in the period.
The Falcons added three third period goals. RF made it a 3-0 game at 3:20 of the period when
Karleigh Wolkerstorfer scored her ninth goal of the year with a nice deflection from right in front of the SCU goal. Johnson, who picked up her third assist on the play, fed a perfect pass to Wolkerstorfer's stick, Sibley also assisted on the goal. With about 15 minutes tok play the Falcons took a penalty but once again the Falcon penalty killers did not allow a shot on goal. Cranston had the best opportunity for either team but her shot from 20 feet was stopped by Pechacek.SCU took a minor penalty and the Falcons had three shots on goal, and plenty of pressure, but didn't score. After SCU killed off a penalty the Falcons scored again to make it 4-0. Kinsel scored her second of the game, and 19th of the year, unassisted. The goal came at 13:55. The Falcons finished the scoring at 18:13 when Sibley scored her second of the game, and 13th of the year, with
Carly Moran assisting. Sibley scored from right in front of the SCU goal. The Falcons, now 13-2-1 agasint St. Kate's, dominated the period outshooting the Wildcats 18-1.
Hall made 14 saves in goal to win her 16th game of the year. She has now played 120:31 without allowing a goal. SCU's Pechacek stopped 33 Falcons shots.

The Falcons finished wtih a 38-14 advantage in shots. SCU was 0-3 on the power play and UWRF was 0-4.
The Falcons, now 19-3-1 overall, will next play a WIAC game at UW-Eau Claire on Saturday with action starting at 2 p.m. UWRF has already won the WIAC regular season championship and enter Saturday's game with an 8-1-1 record.
