The Falcon women's hockey team will host Lake Forest College at 2 p.m., on Saturday in the NCAA Tournament quarterfinals.
The game will be at Hunt Arena and the puck drops at 2 p.m. Tickets will be on sale at the door starting at 1 p.m.
This is the seventh straight year the Falcons, 24-3-1, have qualified for the NCAA Tournament and this is the eighth time in program history the Falcons have competed in the Tournament. Last year the Falcons placed third in the Championships topping St. Thomas,
6-3.
Game Recap. The third place finish was the best ever by the Falcons.Â
"We're playing very well right now and looking forward to playing in one more game," said Falcon Coach
Joe Cranston. "We're excited to play Lake Forest in a rematch of a 2014 game." Last year the Falcons beat the Foresters,
4-1, in a first round NCAA playoff game at Hunt Arena.

The two teams played on Feb. 8 in River Falls this year and the Falcons won a closely contested contest,
1-0, at Hunt Arena. The Falcons hold a 34-5-4 lead in the all-time series that dates back to 2000-01 season.Â
The Falcons, 15-2 at Hunt Arena this year, have won 10 straight games and are unbeaten in their last 15 contests. UWRF has allowed just four goals, and scored 34, in its last seven games.Â
Chloe Kinsel leads the Falcons in scoring with a school record 49 points (21-28). She has set the school record for goals in a season with 21 and also leads the team in assists (28). Line mate
Alice Cranston is also over the 40 point total with 19 goals and 41 points. Two other Falcons have 30 or more points - forward
Dani Sibley (17-19-36) and forward
Carly Moran (14-17-31).Â
Goalie
Angie Hall has played in 25 games and has a 1.71 goals against average and a .900 saves percentage. She is 21-3-1 and has recorded three shutouts.Â
Lake Forest earned the NCHA's automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament with a dramatic 2-1 win over Concordia in the league's playoff championship game on Saturday. Lake Forest, 14-8-1 overall, has four players who have 20 or more points this year. Michelle Greeneway leads the list with 18 goals and 29 points. Morgan Pope has eight goals and 25 points while Holly Lesperance has seven goals and 23 points and Melissa Paluch has 11 goals and 22 points.Â
The Foresters have won four straight games and average 3.76 goals a game and allow 2.08.Â
The Foresters have used two goalies this year. Casey Hartfiel has played in 10 games and has a 2.13 goals against average and a .901 saves percentage. She has a 6-2-1 record. Allie Carter has played in 16 games and has a 2.06 goals against average and a .915 saves percentage. She is 8-5-2. She was in goal in the team's 2-1 win over Concordia on Saturday and made 20 saves. Carter has played in the team's last six games.Â
In other first round NCAA playoff games on Saturday St. Thomas (14-9-4) goes to Plattsburgh (23-2-2) at 3 p.m. (ET), Norwich (21-4-3) travels to Middlebury (20-4-3) at 7 p.m. (ET) and Trinity (18-6-2) goes to Elmira (24-2-1) at 3 p.m. (ET).Â
The NCAA semifinals and finals will be played March 20-21 at a site to be determined.Â
