STEVENS POINT, Wis. (uwrfsports.com) – The UW-River Falls women's soccer team captured an important WIAC conference road win against UW-Stevens Point Saturday afternoon. With the win the Falcons clinch the sixth place finish in the WIAC standings getting them into the WIAC conference tournament.

WHAT HAPPENED
- Carrie Anderson got the lone goal of the game on a pass from Mariah Troje that found its way to the top right corner of the net from 18 yards out. The goal came at 40:24.
- The Falcons tied the Pointers in shots with each team getting eight total.
- Abby Soderholm led the Falcons with four shots in the game.
- Kayla Windingstad registered two shots, while Carrie Anderson and Mariah Troje each had one.
- Falcon keeper Erica Cimochowski took the win for the Falcons collecting four saves.
THE OPPOSITION
- Maddy Hardyman started the second half with a shot on goal thirteen seconds in.
- Pointer Keeper Sarah Peplinski had two saves on the day. Both coming in the first half.
