Box Score Eau Claire, Wis. (uwrfsports.com) – In the first round of the WIAC tournament the UW-River Falls women's soccer team fell to the UW-Eau Claire Blugolds in their second matchup in less than two weeks by a score of 2-0. With the loss the Falcons season comes to an end.

WHAT HAPPENED
- Both teams exchanged shots in the first few minutes of the first have. River Falls had three of the first four shots with one being on goal.
- The Falcons and Blugolds remained even for most of the first half with the Blugolds finally striking with a goal in the 40th minute by Olivia Hanson. She was assisted by Natalie Clark and Lauren Lenz.
- Just a minute and a half later, Emily Sullivan scored an unassisted goal to give the Blugolds a 2-0 lead into halftime.
- UWRF would get their opportunities in the second half, but couldn't get any of their two shots on goal past the Blugold goalkeeper and ended their season with a 2-0 loss.
- Kayla Windingstad led the Falcons in shots in the game with four, one being on goal.
- Erica Cimochowski ended up with four saves in the 90 minutes of action in her final game as a Falcon. Kenzie Weisman ended her career with a shot on goal in the game.
THE OPPOSITION
- UW-Eau Claire ended with 12 shots in the game with six being on goal. Caroline Henderson was the only Blugold player to have multiple shots in the game with 11 different UWEC players shooting the ball in the game.
- Sammie Lefaive saved four shots in the game and moved to 9-7-2 on the season as the goalie for the Blugolds.
- The Blugolds next face the second seeded UW-La Crosse Eagles in the second round of the WIAC tournament.
LOOKING AHEAD
UW-River Falls finishes the season with a mark of 7-9-2 with one of the youngest rosters in the WIAC with just two seniors and 11 freshman on this year's team. Junior
