HOW IT HAPPENED
- Quinn stopped all 20 shots he saw in the 60 minutes of action, nine of them came in the third period to hold off the Lions.
- UW-River Falls would outshoot Finlandia in the first period eight to five, but both teams were denied by each goaltender.
- The second period is where the game began to heat up. Between the two teams, there were eight penalties called in the second period alone.
- The Falcons first power play was after a Lions roughing penalty. UWRF would fire four shots on goal during the two minutes.
- Just 21 seconds after the end of the power play, the Falcons would score. Michael Lant lite the lamp at 12:13, the goal is his fifth goal of the season. He was assisted by Mike Dietrich.
- At 14:02 in the second, there were five penalties called between the two teams for hitting after the whistle. The Falcons would have a power play opportunity when the dust settled.
- On the power play, the Falcons wouldn't score, but three shots would be on goal during the two minutes.
- With the second period winding down, the Falcons would expand their lead. Ryan Gotelaere scored for UWRF at 18:57 in the second. His goal was assisted by Hunter Schneider and Ryan Doner.
- UWRF would end the period on a sour note with a penalty by Eddie Matsushima. The Falcons would play five minute on the penalty kill between the end of the second period and the beginning of the third.
- During the penalty kill, the Falcons saw and stopped two shots and kept the shutout intact. Quinn stopped all nine shots for UWRF in the third.
- In the third period, the Falcons would stop two minor power plays as well as the major penalty that began the period.
- Lant was the leader in shots for either team. His seven shots was four more than any other player for either team.
- Aussie Miller and Ryan Doner each fired three shots on goal for UWRF.
- Dietrich won 13 of his 19 face offs in the game to help UWRF as a team win 41 of the 72 face offs.

- Finlandia would have 20 shots on goal in the game, Max Seiter and Cam Wirick each had the team-high of three shots.
- Kendall Bolen-Porter would win nine face offs in the game, and Tommy Malkmus won nine of his 13 face offs.
- Finlandia was 0-3 on the power play in the game, and committed five penalties.
- Alex Rounds saved 22 shots for the Lions.
