RIPON, Wis. (uwrfsports.com) – The UW-River Falls women's volleyball team opened up the 2016 season at the Ripon College Invite Friday afternoon. The Falcons fell to host Ripon College in a four set match 1-3 (22-25, 25-19, 15-25, 14-25).

WHAT HAPPENED
- The Falcon's offense struggled to get going finishing with a hitting percentage of .059 with 49 kills and 38 errors in 185 attempts.
- The Red Hawks recorded an attack percentage of .196 with 49 kills in 168 attempts.
- Dakotah Poitra had a night for the Falcons being in the top of every statistical category – kills (10), aces (1), blocks (2), Assists (2) and digs (17).
- Amara Meyer hit .241 with 10 kills in 29 attempts.
- Raven Klein had 39 assists and hit .286.
THE OPPOSITION
- Paige Buddenhagen led the hawks with 16 kills and 4 blocks.
- Abbi Williamson had a match high 42 assists.
- Kat Kulas had a match high 7 blocks and recorded 9 kills finishing the night hitting .421.
