WHAT HAPPENED
- The Falcons had opportunities in the first half of play with junior midfielder Abby Soderholm fired a shot that hit the crossbar at the 9:20 mark.
- After the first half of play, the Falcons and Gusties were knotted in a 0-0 tie. The Falcons had attempted five total shots with one being on goal. The Gusties had attempted five shots as well, two of which were on goal.
- The Gusties continued to pressure the Falcons in the second half. Emily Skogseth hit the post but couldn't find the back of the net.
- Each team was flagged with a yellow card. Abby Soderholm received a yellow card in the 87th minute while Maddison Ackiss received one for the Gusties in the 110th minute.
- In regulation and two 10 minute overtimes, the Gusties attempted five shots on goal with 15 total. UW-River Falls shot 10 shots with four being on goal. Abby Soderholm led the Falcons with five shots with two being on goal.
- UWRF had three corner kicks in the game with all three coming in the second half.
- Erica Cimochowski suffered an injury and had to leave and freshman Haley Crosby took over for the remainder of the second half and both overtime periods.
- In the second overtime, Gustavus nearly had a shot at a goal, but the ball dribbled wide of the net with less than five minutes remaining.
