Northfield, MN - (uwrfsports.com)- The Women' hockey team traveled to Northfield, Minnesota to take on the St. Olaf Ollie's on Wednesday, January 18
th. Four different players were able to put the puck in the net for the Falcons leading them to a 4-1 victory and pushing their win streak to 11.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Angie Hall had another strong performance with a total of 10 saves. She had 2 saves in the first period, 5 in the second, and 3 in the third period.
- The Falcons came out strong and were able to show their skills in front of the net early in the game. 10 minutes into the first period, Haley Nielsen scored from the point to make the score 1-0. Jillayne Gilbert assisted the goal.
- Shortly after, Amy Auran scored to make the score 2-0. The goal was assisted by Bella Wagner.
- At the end of the first period, Xandi Swedberg received a penalty against the Ollies for cross-checking at 18:04.
- Carly Moran received a penalty for cross-checking at 8:27 in the second period to put the Ollies on power play.
- The Falcons were unable to fend off St. Olaf with a goal coming from Xandi Swedberg at 9:59 in the second period to make the score 2-1. Jane Vezina and Becky Weingarten assisted the goal.
- Dani Sibley received a penalty at 13:42 for interference. The Falcons were able to kill the power play to keep the score 2-1.
- Emily Lobin received a penalty three minutes into the third period for tripping putting the Ollies on penalty kill.
- Paige Johnson was able to find a lane and score at 4:57 on the power play to make the score 3-1. The goal was assisted by Amy Auran.
- Payton Rudiger scored again at 7:55 to put the Falcons up 4-1. Carly Moran assisted the goal.
- Johanna Glaaser received a penalty at 9:39 in the third period to put the Ollies back on penalty kill. The Falcons were unable to score.

THE OPPOSITION
- Hailey Sampson played a majority of the game in net for the Ollies. She had a total of 24 saves and 4 goals allowed. Sampson played for 49 minutes.
- Mae Moris came in later in the game and had a total of 7 saves. She played for 10 minutes.
- Xandi Swedberg scored at 9:59 in the second period to score St. Olaf's only goal. Jane Vezina and Becky Weingarten assisted the goal.
