Stevens Point, Wis. (uwrfsports.com) – With their 16
th straight win, the UW-River Falls men's basketball team broke the program record for consecutive wins. At one point the Falcons held a 26 point lead on the road against UW-Stevens Point in the 67-51 victory.

WHAT HAPPENED
- Alex Herink scored 13 of his 17 points in the first half and the Falcons used an 11-2 run at the end of the first half and were able to coast to the victory in the second half.
- Early on the Falcons did their best to break the homecourt advantage, but UW-Stevens Point was able to keep pace with the fifth ranked Falcons with the score knotted at 18 with 9:52 to go in the half.
- In the rest of the time remaining UWRF outscored UWSP 17-6, with Julian Jackson scoring six of those points in that span. Alex Herink capped off the half with a three pointer and UWRF led 35-24.
- In the last meeting, UW-Stevens Point was able to keep pace with the UW-River Falls, but in this matchup the second half proved to be all Falcons.
- The Pointers came within seven points at 18:00 minutes remaining, but an 11-0 run gave UWRF an 18 point lead with 14:10 to go.
- After one three pointer by UWSP, the Falcons used another 11-0 run to bring the lead to the game high 26.
- The bench was able to come in the remaining eight minutes and secure the victory.
IN-DEPTH LOOK
- Herink scored his 17 points on 7-9 shooting, and hit 2-3 shots from beyond the arc. He added eight rebounds and swatted away four shots.
- Clay Seifert and Brennan Witt each contributed 10 points on a combined 5-8 from the floor and a perfect 8-8 from the charity stripe.
- Grant Erickson and Jackson each finished with six points on a combined 6-6 from the floor. Erickson added four assists.
- UW-River Falls shot an efficient 25-48 (52.1 percent) from the floor. UWRF shot 7-18 (38.9 percent) from the three point line.
- From the free throw line the Falcons shot 10-14 (71.4 percent) and dominated the paint 36-21.
THE OPPOSITION
- Ethan Bubllitz was the leader for the Pointers on the offensive end. He finished with 11 points on 5-14 shooting and snagged five rebounds.
- Off the bench Bryce Williams scored nine points with all of his field goals coming from beyond the arc.
- From the floor UW-Stevens Point was 18-55 (32.7 percent) and shot 5-22 (22.7 percent) from the three point line.
