HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST CONCORDIA-WISCONSIN
- At 7:55 of the first period UW-River Falls jumped out to a 1-0 lead as Eddie Matsushima took a pass from Aussie Miller to beat Concordia goaltender Nick Malvin.
- Concorida-Wisconsin had a two-man advantage early in the second period, but were unable to take advantage of it. Ninety seconds after the last UW-River Falls penalty expired, Joe Drapluk scored his first goal of the season to give the Falcons a 2-0 lead.
- The two goal lead lasted about six minutes before Concordia-Wisconsin cut the lead in half on a goal by Brett Garvey.
- The Falcons were outshot by Concordia 13-5 in the second period.
- Early in the third, River Falls re-established the two goal lead on the power play as David Landau took a pass from Christian Hausinger to score his first goal of the season.
- Nineteen seconds after David Landau scored Concordia-Wisonsin's Josh Adkins cut the lead to just a goal with his first of the season.
- Just over halfway through the third period Eric Therrien scored on a wrap-around to tie the game at 3.
- The Falls Falcons went on a late power play at 16:56, but Adam Fauchoux scored a short-handed breakaway goal with just 1:58 left on the clock.
- The Falcons in a last ditch effort to force overtime, put four shots on goal in the last 1:58, but Nick Malvin stopped them all.
