ST. PAUL, Minn. (uwrfsports.com) – The UW-River Falls women's volleyball team concluded their season with a split at the Bethel University Triangular this past weekend. In match one, the Falcons took care of Augsburg in four sets but fell to Bethel in match two.

HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST AUGSBURG
- The Falcons controlled the match outhitting the Auggies each set and leading in all statistical categories.
- The first two sets of the match the Falcons battled with the Auggies back and forth allowing them to get 20 points plus points on the board in each set.
- In set three it was tied late but the Auggies pulled off three final points to win 25-22 and force a set four.
- In set four, the Falcons trailed the first half of the set but tied it at 15-15. From that point on they took the set in their hands and finished it off 25-20.
- The offense was led by the two seniors Amara Meyer with 14 kills and Samantha Garvin with 12.
- Dakotah Poitra recorded a double double with 11 kills and 15 digs. She also had two blocks.
- Hannah Robb had 29 digs.
THE OPPOSITION
- The Auggies hit .120 and were led by Taylor Linn who had 11 kills.
- Defensively Macey Terhell had 18 digs followed by Taylor Linn who had 12.

HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST BETHEL
- The Royals came out right away winning the first two sets of the match leading from the start in each.
- In set two, the Falcons got on the board first and pulled off the lead till the end of the set winning 25-21.
- The Royals took back the match in set four winning 25-17.
- Shania Glenz had her best match of the season hitting .455 and leading the Falcons in kills with 11.
- Dakota Poitra and Karli Nielsen each had 10 kills.
- Hannah Robb had a match high 22 digs.
THE OPPOSITION
- The Royals hit .280 overall and were led by Maria Claflin who had 14 kills and Karin Canakes and Brooke Olstad who each had 12.
- Defensively Claflin had a match high five blocks and Brooke Olstad had 11 digs.
LOOKING AHEAD
The Falcons finish the season with a 19-15 overall record.
