River Falls, Wis. (uwrfsports.com) – The UW-River Falls men's hockey team played Augsburg tight through the whole game holding their offense in check. A late goal in the third period from a tough angle gave the Auggies a 3-2 victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST AUGSBURG
- Both teams used the entire ice surface the first period with end-to-end action the entire 20 minutes.
- UW-River Falls Cayden Cahill scored on the Power Play just over 8 minutes into the period, as he put home a rebound into a wide-open net for an early Falcons lead.
- Augsburg University would respond just over a minute later as Jake Larson also put home a rebound off of an earlier shot by teammate Chandler Madry.
- The second period saw the Falcons score the lone goal on a goal-line scramble, with Thomas Clayton scoring the goal just before the net was knocked off its moorings.
- In the 3rd period Augsburg found the net on the Power Play as Jason Krych scored on the Power Play from the left face-off circle to tie the game at 2-2.
- Gunnar Goodmanson would give Augsburg the lead with 1:00 left in the game, as a shot by Jake Larson was deflected wide. Goodmanson then buried the rebound from an odd angle for the game-winner.
