HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST BETHEL
  • The Bethel Royals scored the first just under 4 minutes into the game when Sarina Goos took a loose puck in the slot, and wristed it past Tatyana Delaittre for a 1-0 lead.
  • UW-River Falls offense stepped up late in the period, with multiple good scoring chances on Bethel goalie Maggie Straka.  The Falcons were unable to get anything past her though.
  • UW-River Falls offense starting to get rolling in the second period.  At 4:23, Kora Torkelson appeared to poke home the puck past Maggie Straka, but the goal light didn't come on.  Nobody on the ice was sure if it was a goal, but the referee was signaling goal.  A conference with the goal judge determined it was a goal, and the Falcons tied the score at 1-1.
  • 7 minutes later the Falcons struck again as Kathryn Larson took the puck in behind the net, and attempted a wrap-around shot which was blocked.  The rebound wasn't controlled at all, and Callie Hoff had a wide-open net to poke home the rebound.
  • Just over a minute later, Carly Moran took a pass from Hailey Herdine, and wristed a shot past Maggie Straka which hit the post to go in.  UW-River Falls now lead 3-1.
  • Going into the 3rd period the Falcons were looking for more, and at the 2:45 mark Jessie Anderson put a pass across for Kora Torkelson who wristed a shot high on the blocker side of Maggie Straka, which hit the pipe and went in.
  • Just over a minute later, Carly Moran skated through 2 or 3 Bethel defenders to score her 4th goal of the season to make it 5-1.
  • Bethel added a late Power Play goal by Kaitlyn Van Tassel to make it 5-2.
  • Tatyana Delaittre finished the game with 23 saves.
