Owen Schommer was selected for special teams and the Falcons swept the volleyball selections with
Amara Meyer being named for offense and
Hannah Robb being named for defense.
Schommer led the Falcons special teams in their 20-12 victory over Gustavus Adolphus College (Minn.) on Sept. 9. He punted five times for 205 yards for an average of 41.1 yards. Schommer downed three of his punts inside the 20 and two punts inside the 10. On his final punt of the game late in the fourth quarter, Schommer bombed a 50 yard kick that was downed on the 9 yard line to ice the game.
Meyer recorded 67 kills (3.94 per set) and hit .281 in four matches at the Macalester College (Minn.) Invitational held Sept. 8-9. In her best match of the tournament, she hit .390 (18-2-41) in a five-set win over Linfield College (Ore.). She had 19 total blocks (1.12 per set) in the four matches and recorded 15 digs and five aces.
Robb led the Falcons with 120 digs in four matches at the Macalester College (Minn.) Invitational. She averaged 7.06 digs per set. Her best game came against St. Catherine University (Minn.) when she had 32 digs. She added 14 service aces and aided in the offensive attack with 19 assists.
