RIVER FALLS, Wis (uwrfsports.com) – The UW-River Falls women's soccer team lost a heart breaker in double overtime when Mallory DeBoom from the University of St. Thomas scored.

WHAT HAPPENED:
- The first half was a defensive battle with both sides playing excellent defense. UW-River Falls managed only 2 shots on goal, while St. Thomas had 5.
- The Falcons did a great job of limiting St. Thomas offensively. Stopping most of their possessions before they could get a shot off.
- Second Half the Tommies came out and pushed the play to the Falcons for most of the half. St. Thomas outshot UW-River Falls 15-5 in the half.
- With the clock winding down on the second half, both teams had great chances to get on the board late.
- Abby Soderholm led the Falcons in shot with three.
- Falcon keeper Haley Crosby had nine saves in her 101:42 minutes of play.
THE OPPOSITION:
- Mallory DeBoom scored her first goal of the season 1:42 into the second overtime. Her kick from the right side just got past the left post.
LOOKING AHEAD:
- The UW-River Falls soccer team looks to return to winning ways as they go on the road to face Cougars from the University of Minnesota-Morris. Game time 4 p.m. on September 13th.
