Kathryn Larson scored 2 goals and assisted on another as the UW-River Falls Women's Hockey team shut out Northland College 5-0 at Hunt Arena.
Angie Hall made only 8 saves in the game to get her first shutout of the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST NORTHLAND COLLEGE
- The Falcons controlled the play for a majority of the 1st period peppering Lumber Jills goalie Maggie Cusey with 19 shots. Cusey stopped them all to help preserve a 0-0 tie after one.
- UW-River Falls finally broke the tie just 17 seconds into the 2nd period as Jessica Bird tapped home a loose puck in the crease for a 1-0. Callie Hoff and Amy Auran were credited with assists.
- Just over a minute later the Falcons scored again as a wrist shot from Julia Stelljes found its way through traffic, and into the net for a 2-0 River Falls lead.
- Kathryn Larson scored her first goal of the game at 6:46 as she skated into the zone, and wristed one high over Cusey shoulder. It was her 5th goal of the season.
- At the 11:57 mark of the period Jessie Anderson skated behind the Lumber Jills net, and passed out front to Payton Rudiger who shot it into a wide open net for a 4-0 lead. It was Payton's first goal of the season.
- The Falcons scored their final goal of the game 3:55 into the 3rd period when Kathryn Larson wristed a shot in on the short side for her 2nd of the game and 6th of the season.
- Angie Hall made 8 saves to get her first shutout of the season and the 14th of her career.
