HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST ST. NORBERT COLLEGE
  • A high-scoring contest started early as the Knights cracked the scoreboard just 22 seconds into the contest as Jessica Schlaff pounced on a loose puck outside the crease to give St. Norbert's a quick 1-0 lead.
  • That lead didn't last long as the Falcons would score the next 5 goals in the period. At the 2:01 mark of the period Callie Hoff evened the score at 1-1 as she skated into the slot, and wristed one past Brianna Kelly stick side.  It was her 12th goal of the season.
  • Shortly after the Hoff goal the Green Knights were called for their first penalty of the game. Hailey Herdine would find the back of the net on the power play when she shot from a tough angle and slid the puck under neath the Green Knight's goalie to give the Falcons the 2-1 lead.
  • The Falcons would go up 3-1 just under 2 minutes later when Kathryn Larson scored her 9th goal of the season. She was assisted on the goal by Jessie Anderson and Payton Rudiger.
  • 5 minutes later Herdine would add her second goal of the period to put the Falcons up 4-1. The goal was her third of the season.
  • Just over 3 minutes later Sam Young would cap off the scoring for the Falcons in the period when she found the back of the net for her 6th goal of the season to put the Falcons up 5-1.
  • Madi Nolan was called for a penalty late in the first period and St. Norbert would take advantage of the power play to make the score at the end of the period 5-2 in favor of the Falcons.
  • The Falcons came out in the second period and dominated early, firing multiple shots at the Green Knights' net. The sustained offensive pressure finally paid off at the 6:53 mark of the period, when Payton Rudiger would score her 2nd goal of the season, to push the Falcon lead back to 4.
  • Just over a minute later Kora Torkelson would score on a great re-direct in front to put the Falcons up 5 at 7-2. She was assisted on the goal by Haley Nielsen.
