OSHKOSH, Wis. (uwrfsports.com) – The UW-River Falls women's basketball team struggled in the third quarter and fell to UW-Oshkosh on the road 45-68.

WHAT HAPPENED
- The first quarter was a battle between the two teams with the lead changing five times. At the end of the first quarter the game was tied up 16-16.
- Oshkosh took the lead for good in the second quarter with 7:31 remaining.
- The Titans controlled the second half extending their lead to double digits in the third quarter.
- The Falcons failed to score a point in the third as they were 0-10 from the floor. The Titans however went on a 14 point run.
- Crystal Pearson broke the shooting slump of the third by starting the fourth period with a layup. She got the Falcons within 19 points their smallest lead difference in the second half.
- The Titans pushed to their largest advantage of 24 at the 7:20 point and then again with 42 seconds remaining.
IN-DEPTH LOOK
- Crystal Pearson came off the bench for twelve points. She was 5-10 from the floor and 2-2 from the charity stripe. She added three assists, three rebounds and two blocks.
- Brynn Liljander was 3-6 from the floor and 2-2 from the free throw line for nine total points.
- As a team, the Falcons were 17-44 (38.6 percent) from the floor. They made four three point shots and were 7-15 (46.7 percent) from the charity stripe.
THE OPPOSITION
- Four Titans were in double digit points. Eliza Campbell had 12 points. She was 5-12 from the floor and 2-3 from the free throw line. She added ten rebounds, two blocks and one steal.
- Jaimee Pitt scored 11 points on 3-6 shooting. She was 5-5 from the free throw line.
- Olivia Campbell and Isabell Samuels each had ten points. Campbell was 2-3 from the floor and was 6-6 from the charity stripe. Samuels was 4-4 from the floor and 2-2 from the free throw line.
- The Titans shot 23-55 (41.8 percent) from the floor and were 19-26 (73.1 percent) from the charity stripe. They scored 24 points off turnovers.
LOOKING AHEAD
The Falcons travel to UW-La Crosse Wednesday Jan. 31 to take on the Eagles. Earlier this season the Falcons beat the Eagles 72-54.
