RIVER FALLS, Wis. (uwrfsports.com) – The No. 8 UW-River Falls women's hockey put up three goals in the second period after trailing by two in the first to defeat No. 6 Adrian College Sunday afternoon at Page Arena.

What Happened:
- The Falcons applied pressure first putting three shots on goal but it was the Bulldogs who were able to find the back of the net first. At 5:23, yesterday's overtime hero Jessica VonRuden scored a goal on a pass from Maggie Mitter.
- The Falcons had two power play opportunities that they were unable to utilize.
- VonRuden struck again at 16:21. She scored her second goal of the afternoon on a pass from Brianna Buchanan.
- At the end of the first period the Falcons trailed 0-2. The Falcons outshot the Bulldogs 10-6 but were not able to find the back of the goal.
- Three minutes into the second period the Falcons again had a power play opportunity after the Bulldogs were called for tripping. Hailey Herdine put one shot on goal but that was all the Falcons could do before the time ran out.
- At 9:28 Bella Wagner was finally able to break through the Bulldog goal tender Katie Turner to score her first goal on a pass from Kathryn Larson.
- Jessie Anderson tied the game up 2-2 at 17:11 on a pass from Julia Stelljes.
- Callie Hoff scored one minute later and gave the Falcons a 3-2 lead.
- The Falcons started the third period with the lead for the first time that game. Two minutes in VonRuden was called for checking and the Falcons were on their fourth power play opportunity.
- Erica Schramel was able to capitalize on it scoring her first goal of the season. She was assisted by Callie Hoff and Bella Wagner.
- VonRuden was again called for a penalty this time for roughing at 15:34. The Bulldogs were down a skater but Kortney Diaz found the back of the net scoring a shorthanded goal for the Bulldogs.
- The Falcons were able to hold the Bulldogs off to finish the game with a 4-3 win.
- Sami Miller collected her first collegiate win. In her 40 minutes of play she had ten saves and only gave up one goal.
- Bella Wagner was the top offensive player with one goal and two assists. She had four shots on goal. Erica Schramel also had four shots on goal. She added a goal and an assist to her day.
THE OPPOSITION
- Jessica VonRuden had two goal and five shots on goal for the Bulldogs.
- Kate Turner finished with 22 saves in her 60 minutes of play.
