MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (uwrfsports.com) – The UW-River Falls women's hockey team bounced back from their weekday loss to defeat Augsburg University 7-1 on the road Friday night.
The Falcons scored three goals in the second period and a pair of goals in each of the other two periods.
Izzy Brosseau scored the first goal of the night at 13:35 in the first period. She was assisted on the goal by
Erin Olson and
Hailey Herdine. The Auggies tied it up 1-1 two minutes later but it was the last time the Falcons would allow them to score.
Madi Nolan scored back to back goals. Her first came at 19:02 in the first period. She turned around and scored on a pass from
Callie Hoff at 8:44 in the second period.
Abigail Stow scored a pair of goals in the second period. Her first came at 13:08 on a pass by
Alyson Niebur and
Madi Nolan. Four minutes later she scored again. She was assisted on the play by
Kiana Gilbraith and
Ashley Effertz.
Callie Hoff scored the final two goals of the night in the third period.
Bella Wagner made a pass to Hoff at 9:02. At 17:12 Hoff scored again this time on the power play opportunity.
Tatyana Delaitre took the win. She had 25 saves on the night.
The Falcons now 11-2 on the season are off till January 4 when they take on St. Olaf on the road. Game time is scheduled for 4 p.m.
