NORTHFIELD, MN – The Falcon women's hockey team started the new year off with a 3-1 win over St. Olaf College in Northfield Friday afternoon.
The Falcons scored their first goal of the night in the first two minutes of the first period.
Alyson Niebur scored on a pass by
Hailey Herdine and
Kora Torkelson at 1:32. They scored two more goals in the second period to secure the win.
Erica Schramel scored a power play goal at 8:26. She was assisted on the play by
Izzy Brosseau and
Abigail Stow.
Callie Hoff followed up with a goal of her own at 11:28. Assisting her on the goal was
Kathryn Larson and
Izzy Brosseau.
The Olies scored their lone goal at 17:16 in the second period.
Tatyana Delaittre got the win for the Falcons. She had 17 saves and gave up one goal. The Falcons had 41 shots on goal.
The Falcons who are now 12-2 on the season travel to Winona to take on St. Mary's University January 8
th. Puck drop is slated for 7 p.m.
