Waverly, IA - (uwrfsports.com) - The UW-River Falls men's and women's track and field teams traveled to Waverly, Iowa to compete in the Wartburg Indoor Select hosted by Wartburg College. Both teams battled sickness to produce high-quality performances in the field and on the track. The women's team placed
7th overall and the men also placed 7th overall.

What Happened at the Wartburg College Select - Top Women's Finishes
- Emma Deutsch premiered the mile with an indoor collegiate personal record of 5:50.
- Katelyn Moore ran through injury to take second in the mile with a time of 5:26.09, ranking her 19th in the WIAC.
- Kimberly Robertson ran a personal record in the 60m hurdles with a time of 9.99, ranking her 21st in the WIAC.
- Allison Stewart placed 5th in the 60m dash with a time of 8.27, establishing a new personal record and ran a personal record in the 200m dash with a time of 27.77.
- Emmy Farago opened her indoor season on the track with a PR in 800m of 2:23.73 placing 7th overall, ranking her 13th in the WIAC and 10th on the UWRF All-Time list.
- Nikki Jurik ran a 3 second personal record in the 3000m for a time of 10:34.48, ranking her 10th in the WIAC and 10th on the UWRF All-Time list.
- Emily Klatt ran a season best in the 3000m to win her heat after leading the whole race.
- Alanna Grant ran a personal record of 29.89 in the 200m dash.
- Abigail Bakken threw 11.88m in the shot put for a personal record, placing 6th overall and ranking her 15th in the WIAC.
- Kimberly Robertson pole vaulted 9.07m, just shy of her personal record, to take 9th place overall.
What Happened at the Falcon Winter Classic - Top Men's Finishes
- Alan Hehr returned to the team after battling injury jumping 1.81m to place 9th overall, nearly tying his personal record in the high jump.
- Jacob Martin threw a 10.01m for a personal record in the shot put, nearly a half meter improvement.
- Colton Sorensen captured 4th place overall in the heptathlon scoring 4,204 points. This ranks him 9th in the WIAC.
- Mitchell Hockbein premiered a strong 60m with a time of 7.44 placing 16th overall.
- Alan Falkowski ran a 23.96 for a personal record in the 200m dash.
- Adam Kasper ran an indoor 800m PR of 1:58.4 to place 8th overall, which also lands him a top 10 ranking in the WIAC.
- After only 2 weeks of training, Jean Lain had a season best of 11 seconds in the 800m to win his heat in a time of 2:06.
