Birmingham, AL - (uwrfsports.com) - Senior pole vaulter Colton Sorensen competed at the Indoor Track National Championships on March 9th. Sorensen qualified for the indoor meet with a jump of 4.91 meters at the last chance qualifier at UW-La Crosse on March 3rd, placing him first in that meet. The jump of 4.91 meters is just .01 meters off his personal best and school record of 4.92 meters.

Sorensen ranked 10th in the nation with his jump of 4.91 meters and at the National Championships he finished 10th with a jump of 4.75 meters.   Sorensen cleared 5 heights before scratching at the 4.85 meter mark leaving him tied for 10th with Alex Hindman of Le Tourneau. 

Sorensen will continue to compete in outdoor track, when the Falcons travel to UW-La Crosse on April 7th.
