Stevens Point, Wis. (uwrfsports.com) - Senior pole vaulter Colton Sorensen competed in the Last Chance meet at UW-Stevens Point on Saturday afternoon. Sorensen secured his spot in the NCAA National indoor meet with a jump of 4.91 meters.

Sorensen was sitting at 14th in the country in the pole vault before Saturday. His jump of 4.91 meters moved him from 14th to 10th and qualified him for nationals. His jump of 4.91 is just .01 off his personal record jump of 4.92 meters or 16 feet 1 inch, which is also his school record.

Sorensen will travel to Birmingham, AL to compete on Friday March 9th, at 3:30pm.
