Men's Track Team Competes at St. Thomas

St. Paul, Minn. (uwrfsports.com) The UW-River Falls men's track team competed at St. Thomas on Thursday evening. The Falcons were led by a second place finish in the pole vault by senior Colton Sorensen with a jump of 4.85 meters. Kyle Dorosz added a top 5 finish in the 100 meter dash for the Falcons as well. 

Track Highlights:
  • Kyle Dorosz and Mitchell Hockbein finished in the top 10 of the 100 meter dash, with Dorosz finishing 5th with a time of 11.16 seconds and Hockbein finishing 7th with a time of 11.29 seconds.
  • Alan Falkowski was the top Falcon finisher in the 200 meter dash, placing 10th with a time of 23.61 and the top Falcon finisher in the 400 meter dash, finishing 11th with a time of 52.41.
  • Jean Lean finished 13th in the 800 meter run while teammate Adam Kasper finished just behind him in 16th.
  • Braydon Johnson finished 17th and Adam Jacobi finished 26th in the 5000 meter run.
  • Justin Barnes finished 15th in the 110 meter hurdles with a time of 17.53, Riley Jacobsen finished 4 spots back of Barnes in 19th with a time of 17.88.
  • Connor Johnson finished 9th in the 3000 meter steeplechase.
  • The 4x100 team of Mitchell Hockbein, Hogan Kernstock, Kyle Dorosz, and Tyler Sahm finished in third place. 
Field Highlights:
  • Colton Sorensen finished 2nd in the pole vault with a jump of 4.85 meters.
  • Justin Barnes finished 7th in the high jump with a jump of 1.81 meters.
  • Tim Rixman finished 13th in the long jump with a jump of 5.85 meters.
Looking Ahead:
The track teams will be back in action on April 19th, when they travel to compete at UW-La Crosse.
