SUPERIOR, Wis. (uwrfsports.com) – Four different Falcons scored in the 4-2 win over UW-Superior Friday night.
Hailey Herdine scored just fourteen seconds into the start of the game. It was just the first shot of the game.
Haley Nielsen and
Ashley Effertz assisted on the goal. The Yellowjackets tied it up 1-1 at 2:47.
Jessie Anderson broke the tie in the second period at 16:59 when she scored on a pass from
Izzy Brosseau and
Jamie Bird. With one second remaining in the second period
Haley Nielsen scored a power play goal to give the Falcons a 3-1 lead heading into the third period.
The Yellowjackets split the Falcon's lead in half when they scored two minutes into the third period. The Falcons secured their win with a fourth and final goal at 6:30.
Abigail Stow found the back of the net on a pass from
Haley Nielsen.
The Falcons had 35 shots on goal and were one for three on power play opportunities.
Abigail Stow lead the offense with six shots and one goal.
Sami Miller got the win in goal with seventeen saves.
The Falcons will host UW-Superior Saturday night at Hunt Arena. Puck drop is 7:05 p.m.
