Box Score ST. PETER, Minn. (uwrfsports.com) – The UW-River Falls men's hockey team picked up 1-0 shutout win over Gustavus Adolphus College Saturday evening.
It was a quiet first period with neither team scoring. The Falcons outshot Gustavus 14-9 in the first period and then scored in the second.
Christian Hausinger scored at 17:38 on a pass by
Eddie Matsushima and
Cayden Cahill.
The Falcons had three power player opportunities but the Gusties' defense was able to keep them from capitalizing.
Overall the Falcons outshot the Gusties 31-28.
Mike Sauer lead the Falcon offense with five shots on goal
Joe Marcouiller got the win this evening. He had 28 saves and did not allow the Gusties to score.
The Falcons now 6-6-3 on the season will face off against St. Olaf College January 11 at Hunt Arena. Game time is set for 7:05 p.m.
