EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (uwrfsports.com) - The Falcons traveled to Eau Claire for Saturday's game and played through snowy conditions to end the afternoon with a loss of 27-14.

WHAT HAPPENED

• Ben Beckman had a total of 158 passing yards (17 complete of 31 attempts) and scored the first Falcon touchdown of the day in the second quarter with 1-yard run.
• Luke Fugate scored the second touchdown at the beginning of the third quarter to get the Falcons within three points.  He was the leading rusher for the Falcons with a net of 78 rushing yards
• Brett Wadman and Alex Herink led the Falcons with 64 and 60 receiving yards respectively out of the teams cumulative 158 yards
• Max Praschak lead the night with 20 total tackles, 12 solo and 8 assisted tackles
• Bobby Patterson averaged 32.4 yards per punt out of the 7 punts for the night ending at 227 yards.

 
THE OPPOSITION

• Austin Belot lead the Blugolds with an outstanding 223 net rushing yards in 30 attempts.  He averaged 7.4 yards per carry and scored two touchdowns.  He secured the Blugold win with a 51-yard run touchdown in the final minute of the third quarter.
• Cameron Swanson and Sam Romanski were top contributors to the Blugold's defense with 11 and 10 respective tackles.
• Kicker Edgar Ficke had two field goals.  This first was a 25-yard field goal in the first quarter and then 22 yarder in the fourth.

The Falcons host their second home game of the season and homecoming next week on October 19 against UW-Lacrosse.  Kickoff will take place at 1 p.m.
