RIVER FALLS, Wis. (uwrfsports.com) – The UW-River Falls women's volleyball team hosted UW-Whitewater in what turned out to be a tight matchup.  Despite the effort and energy given by each and every player, the Falcons fell just short, losing to the Warhawks, 2-3 (25-15, 22-25, 21-25, 25-22, 16-18).

HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST UW-WHITEWATER

• The Falcons lost the match in five games, 2-3 (25-15, 22-25, 21-25, 25-22, 16-18).
• Offensively the Falcons hit .176 overall with 63 kills in 204 attempts. 
• Katie Koerper led the Falcons with 22 kills, hitting .327 in 52 attempts.  She also recorded 5 blocks. 
• Dakotah Poitra added 17 kills and Mallory Griffin recorded 9 kills, along with 16 digs.
• Hailey Huseth recorded 45 assists in the match, as well as 14 digs and 3 aces.
• Hannah Robb led the team defensively with 25 digs.
• As a team, the Falcons recorded 100 digs, 16 blocks, and 12 aces.

THE OPPOSITION

• As a team, Whitewater hit .149.
• They were led by Chloe Buescher with 14 kills.  
• Defensively, the Knights were led by Morgan Jensen who recorded 29 digs.
   

LOOKING AHEAD
The Falcons will take on Finlandia University and Hamline University at the Hamline Triangular on Saturday.  Game times are 1pm and 4pm respectively.
