MOUNT VERNON, Iowa. (uwrfsports.com) – The Falcon women's soccer team fell to Cornell College 2-3 Sunday afternoon. The Falcons led through he first half but two goals in the second by the Rams gave Cornell the win.

HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST CORNELL
- Mariah Troje scored eight minutes into the start of the game giving the Falcons a 1-0 lead.
- Cornell tied the game up 1-1 at 17:05 when Dajana Scott-Smith scored.
- At 33:42, Maggie Koehler scored on a pass from Mariah Troje to give the Falcons the lead going into the second half.
- The Rams tied the game back up at 75:40 and then took the lead four minutes later on a penalty kick goal.
- The Falcons led the offense in the first half outshooting the Rams 11-4 but the Rams took charge in the second half shooting eight shots compared to the Falcons three.
- Amanda LaDue suffered the loss in goal giving up three goals. She recorded seven saves.
